Many people ask me why they aren’t losing weight. They feel they are doing all the right things like working out and eating healthy and still are not losing weight.
Sometimes the healthy choices you make are not the best for YOU!!!!!!
Here are 5 healthy habits that are not so healthy for some people.
Dairy
I love my yogurt. I hear that all the time. Well, you can love that yogurt too much. Yogurt can go from good for you to candyland in 60 seconds flat. Most plain yogurts can have 9g of sugar (which is naturally occurring) and 20g or so grams of protein. You can up the sugar ante a wee bit if there is fruit inside but that is it! Don’t sabotage your effort with over consuming diary. Write a food journal and see how much dairy you are having in a day.
Sleep
I love to sleep. If you are not getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night you might be lobbing a huge hit against your weight lost effort. We all need our BEAUTY SLEEP! That’s exactly what it is. Your body needs rest to rejuvenate, restore and repair. So go to Amazon and get the best pillow you can buy. Add a silk pillowcase, darkened the room, keep it cool and kick out all technology. Sweet dreams zzzzzzzzzzz
Exercise
I work out 2 times a day, six days of week and I’m not losing any weight. Are you pants getting loose?? You can lose fat and gain muscle, which will show up, in your pants but not on the scale. OR….you are working out too much and it’s making you mega HUNGRY!! Track your food intake. Make sure you are eating the correct amount of calories for your goals. Don’t skimp on food but don’t over eat.
Health Halo Foods
The one that comes to mind immediately is granola. Sounds healthy, looks healthy but the nutrition label says Not Healthy! Most granola is sugar laden. Sugar raises your insulin levels. Insulin is a fat storing hormone. When its high your fat retention will be high. Pass the granola to no one.
Be Honest With Yourself
Set realistic goals and honestly track your calorie intake, even if you have to weigh and measure your food. UGH! Sometimes we over estimate our workouts and underestimate our food intake. This way you can find out exactly where you are and what can be done to kick -start your weight loss efforts again.
