I just love butternut squash raviolis and sometimes I crave them. Below you will find my recipe for my Walnut & Sage Butter Sauce. It’s sooo good and my family loves it. This is a quick meal on a hot day or comfort food on a cold day. You can make it as a main meal just add a salad and/or veggies. It can be a simple side dish to chicken, beef or mix in tofu.
Let me know if you will make this in the comments below.
I used Trader Joe’s Butternut Squash Ravioli, California Shelled Walnuts and my favorite buttah evah Kerrygold.
Butternut Squash Ravioli with Walnut & Sage Butter Sauce
Makes 3 servings (One cup of raviolis and 2 tablespoons of sauce)
Cooks in 20 minutes
One package of butternut squash raviolis
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup of butter (grass-fed like KeryyGold)
10 fresh sage leaves cut chiffonade (rolled and cut into ribbons)
½ cup of crushed walnuts
1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon of black pepper
In a pot add slightly salted water and bring to a boil. Add ravioli and cook three minutes or until done. (The ravioli will float when cooked) Drain pasta.
In a saucepan melt butter. Once melted add sage, cheese and walnuts and let simmer on low heat until golden brown.
Place cooked ravioli on serving plates and top with sage sauce.
To your taste sprinkle parmesan cheese, black pepper or cinnamon.
